This was my 3rd time at this hotel, the last time was about 8 yrs ago and the 1st time was over 25 yrs ago. The reason why I am stating the time frame is because little has changed and that is good but also bad. I am of the opinion that if something is good ...don't change it but certain things need maintenance/renovation/restoration. The Amrath Kurhaus was built in the 1800s. The outside still looks great but on the inside, I believe that the carpets, the elevators and the beds need a facelift/makeover. The narrow, outdated elevators are very scary, the fabric of the beds is torn, and the bathrooms are very clean but they no longer have the take-along little goodies all you get is a sewing kit and shower cap. the toiletries are all in big refill bottles (still great quality though) the ones fluffy robes and slippers with the name and logo of the hotel embroidered on them have now made place for throw-away slippers and ugly boring washed-out white robes. The buffet breakfast was good. The staff was really nice. Parking was limited. What hasn't changed is the extremely high price per night, which years ago was worth every cent. Now I would say, "There are better hotels for the same price. All in all, we enjoyed our weekend despite the little disappointments. I wouldn't really go back very soon.

This is not a place rough drinking or bad behaviour, Very civilised, majucal touch of enchanting elegance The historical elegance of the building including the gallery was just enchanting and the piano, its not modern thank god , art displays , artistic grace and history of the building was just such a surprise , for art lovers .Dogs allowed was so sweet ,the Anerican lady Veronica who checke me in , the evening staff the cafe were so helpful and it was delightful . The Swimming pool and Spa was exceptional and the small pool sea views , it was a touch of class I wish I had longer It was enchanting and elegant , a slice of majic for me ,loved the toiletries in the bed room , my room was beautiful perfect and lovely view I could hear sea gulls and waves at night . I prefer put of season as i am quiet person .

I really liked how elegant the building is and how kind, accommodating and friendly the staff were. Immediately upon arrival I got to experience the kindness of the staff who from beginning to end, gave one of the best 5-star experiences that I have had. The location is fantastic with balconies from the room giving the best views of the sunset and the hotel being very easily accessible by public transport. I really enjoyed observing the art on display throughout the hotel as well.

The hotel is a household name on The Hague. Luckily inside the building still many of the charming classical elements of the building can be found. Nice new elements such as the art blend in nicely. The breakfast was quite lovely and you have a beautiful view of the ocean.. Also it is a nice place to stay with you get children as there are entertainment options for them., the pool was functional.

This is the second time I go to this hotel. Room was again very spacious and clean. Bed and pillows are extremely comfortable. The staff was amazing with my pet. They gave us treats, a dog bed and dog bowl. He felt very welcome! Location is right in the middle of the city in front of the ocean.
